Visit to Orlando

I flew last Friday out to visit my dearest friend Katie over in Orlando. She had made the trip to San Antonio twice, once for my bachelorette party and again for our wedding. So I figured it was my turn to fly out there and visit her. I flew in Friday, we headed out to downtown Orlando that evening and had a blast! Saturday we rolled out of bed and headed to Universal Studios to ride all the fun rides. I haven't ridden a roller coaster in forever! It was so much fun!!! Sunday we headed out to see her parents for lunch and then I headed home. It was a short but very fun and eventful weekend. I sure to miss her!!! I told her there are lots of audiology openings here in Dallas, but I don't think I convinced her yet... =)
I am looking forward to heading down to San Antonio for Thanksgiving and spending time with the family!! Also can't wait to celebrate Cassaroni's 2nd birthday! Time sure does fly by!

Halloween 2009!

Friday Tracy, Josh, & Troy came in to town for TCU's homecoming on Saturday, so they spent Friday night with us. Troy is adorable! It is so much fun when family comes to visit! Then, Eric and I spent Halloween this year out at Kara and Mark's house. It was a blast! Even Victoria made the drive from Katy to come party with us. It is hard to believe that November is already here...crazy! This morning Victoria jumped in the car and drove to Target to get a hold of the 50% off Halloween decorations...we found some good deals and super cute things. Can't wait to decorate next year--I know Eric was even more excited when I came home with bags full of more stuff to "clutter" our home =) Enjoy the pictures! PS- Trying to post pictures from Troy being here on Friday...but the blogger isn't letting me. Will do later!

Birthdays!

Eric and I spent the last two weekends celebrating our nephew's birthday's. Anson turned 2 and celebrated up here in Plano, while Troy had his first birthday down in Sugarland. Eric and I have so much fun being the Aunt and Uncle and then handing the little guys back to their parents...:) Enjoy the pictures and sorry for the delay from the last post. Have a great week!

Skype

Just have to tell everyone that Skype.com is about the best thing ever! I downloaded it on my laptop and had my sister download it on hers and within minutes we were able to talk to and see each other. It is amazing!!!! My parents were even over at their house so we were able to chat with them as well. So if you have not tried out skype, then give it a try. Especially those who have family far away. Oh and it's free!

Other than that, nothing to exciting here at the Baumgart Household. Eric's stepmom sold her house, so the past few weekends have been jam packed going through all his dad's things and in turn making our small house even smaller. We do though have some grownup furniture so we are able to entertain guests now! This upcoming month will be full of house projects, our alumni meet at UNT and more house projects. The next few months are really what I am looking forward to, trips to Houston and San Antonio to see the nephews and family. Can't wait! But now with skype I can see the nephews and family everyday if we wanted!! Love it!

Have a great week!!!

A few wedding pictures

Our photographers sent us our wedding photos a couple of weeks. I have officially obsessed over them for the past 2-3 weeks and could probably tell you what every single one looks like... (Don't judge) I have posted some on facebook and have shared the link with most everyone, so you guys are probably tired of seeing them. So instead of boring you with Eric and I, I thought I would highlight our niece and nephew's in this post. Enjoy! And again, if you will note, somebody needs to have a girl already (...don't get any ideas on our end!!!)

Married Life!

Sorry for the delay of the blog... Things have been a little crazy since getting back from our honeymoon. From unpacking our wedding gifts to starting a new job, we barely have time to enjoy married life...=)

During unpacking, I decided that we need a bigger house. So, Eric and I have decided to start saving some money so we can be ready if we find something we love. Probably not anything within the year, but always fun to save and look at (just in case)! The job is going well. A little of an adjustment, but it is good. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be independent....hopefully.

Other than that, we have just been hanging around. I am learning my way around Plano/Richardson/Dallas. I am happy I have a GPS in my car and on my phone, or I would be lost everyday. Eric gives me directions like I have lived here forever...so it is always fun trying to figure out what he is talking about. But that can't say much b/c I lived in San Antonio for 20 something years and still don't know my way around there, hehe.

The past two weekends have been spent up in Houston. I flew up there one weekend for a wedding (Eric had to work) and last weekend Eric had bought us tickets to Phantom of the Opera. Eric really wanted me to see it b/c he had seen it in London, but it wasn't headed to Dallas this year. So he went ahead and bought tickets. And by tickets I mean FRONT ROW SEATS! It was amazing! Such a wonderful husband! Although the Phantom was wonderful, it was even more wonderful to spend time with Josh, Tracy and Troy. My parents even headed up to Houston last weekend, so it made for a great weekend!

Now it's back to work and getting our house cleaned and unpacked. Oh and in case you all were wondering...yes I am cooking! I have officially broken down and am domesticated! Who would have thought? Good thing we got some amazing gifts for our wedding! And even more that we were able to use our wedding money for a RED front loader washer and dryer! We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!!!!

I will be posting our professional pictures soon. Just waiting on our photographers to get the CD to us. Hopefully this week!

We are back from our honeymoon!

Hello all! We are back from our wonderful honeymoon!! Everything about St. Lucia was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better destination. Minus the first part of our trip when we departed the plane to find out that our luggage did not make the trip with us. But we made it and were happy when our bags arrived the following evening. That was our only hiccup of the trip, so we are pretty lucky. Thought I would share some pictures...

I will post wedding pictures once we get them from our photographers. Everything about the wedding was amazing as well. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!
